The “MYTH of FREE SHIPPING’: Amazon has completely changed the way we view shopping online. By charging $119 a year for Prime Membership, they separate the ‘pain’ of shipping costs from the shopping experience. Consumers highly value fast and reliable shipping but mega-retailers mislead us into believing that shipping is not something we should have to pay for, so we expect this perk. There is no such thing as free shipping! If you mail packages from the Post Office you might be aware that rates have increased twice this year already. Due to economies of scale, mega-retailers get far reduced shipping rates compared to mom and pop businesses. Don’t be deceived – you pay $119 a year for shipping. Alpenglow is transparent in all of our pricing and we keep our product and shipping costs as low as possible. On average, we lose between $1 - $8 per order by not charging the full shipping cost we pay to ship your boxes to you. So the below costs are real, not hidden.
We are able to process and ship most orders within 1-2 business days.
We ship via US Postal Service PRIORITY MAIL which normally takes between 3-6 business days to arrive Outside of Alaska (the other 49 states) or 2-4 days in Alaska. Allow more time for shipping during the holiday season.
Order $25 or less = $ 8 postage
Order $25.01 - $50 = $ 9 postage
Order more than $50 = $ 10 postage
LOWER 48 UNITED STATES & HAWAII:

Now that summer has passed, I'm almost sad to put this in my cabinet until next season. We used it so many times this summer because the neighboring pond, so lovely to swim in, is mosquito heaven. So we keep the bug repellant on the deck and we can still enjoy barbeques and outdoor time and before we had Alaskas Best mosquito repellant, we avoided too much time outside during the buggiest months. We needed an alternative for my kids and we found it. This stuff works great and our whole family loves and uses it often.
I just returned from a week long canoe trip in the buggiest place I've ever been - kenai peninsula of alaska. There were a LOT of mosquitos - every where, every day, except we got brief respite when the wind was blowing on the lakes. They were nuts in camp and landing in our food. We applied this bug repellant every few hours and yes, it's a little greasy, but it worked. We got no bites. They didn't land on us. We could hear them buzzing all around us but it was like a magic shield. I was amazed. I will NEVER go anywhere where there are bugs again without this stuff. Honestly, without this stuff I would have bailed on this trip and just come home.
Bug Be GONE
Seriously. The smell is a bit strong for my kiddos, B U T they were so happy to have been outside all day in the shine/rain, and return home with NO BITES. I've used this spray w/success on my 5 yr old, 4 yr old, 3 yr old, 11month old & 9 yr old. Now the kids are constantly asking me for some before we even head outside! They're also telling their friends to use the "spray" that I have if they don't want any mosquito bites. Finally a natural product that I own that my family agrees w/me on! THANK YOU SO MUCH! Don't wait, GET YOU SOME! THANK YOU SO MUCH Alpenglow!
Yup, it works. It gives a few hours protection even when the skeeters are bad. It smells strong, but fantastic and you can tell that is why they stay away. 100% satisfied.
Fantastic bug dope
I could go on and on about how good this stuff works. Really - in the woods, at the beach, by the lake, in the morning, in the evening, when it's humid, when it's really really buggy.... doesn't matter where I use this, Alaska Best Insect Repellent does NOT disappoint. I need to put more on every 3 hours or so but I don't consider that a hassle because it's not toxic, it smells great, it is good for my skin and health and I just love it. Can't picture a camping trip or a picnic or a canoe paddle without it. THank you Alpenglow! It really is Alaska's Best.
